Filipovits, Hobson Named MEC Swimmers of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — The Mountain East Conference introduced Monday the winners of this week’s Swimmer of the Week awards. The weekly awards are offered by The Health Plan.

Frostburg State’s Sean Filipovits is the MEC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, whereas Julianne Hobson of Davis & Elkins is the MEC Women’s Swimmer of the Week.

Filipovits, a freshman from Hanover, Pennsylvania, captured victories in a pair of relays and a second-place end within the 100-meter freestyle.
