Ladies’s Golf Begins Sturdy at Nanea

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – The No. 17 UCLA ladies’s golf crew shot -4, 288 within the opening spherical of the Nanea Invitational hosted at Nanea Golf Club on Monday. The Bruins are tied for sixth within the 11-team subject and path clubhouse chief No. 6 Auburn (-21, 271) by 17 strokes.

Sophomore switch Jenny Lee led all Bruins within the subject, capturing a -4, 69 to open her week. She had a team-high six birdies in her first spherical. Lee recorded her fifth under-par spherical of the autumn after recording simply two over her 15 whole rounds as a freshman at Baylor final season.

Lee is at the moment sitting in a tie for sixth place within the 60-player subject. She is 4 strokes again of the person lead, which is held by Auburn’s Charlotte Cantonis.

Sophomore Angela Liu (-3; 70) was the opposite Bruin to complete underneath par for the day. Liu, who began her spherical on gap 14, was bogey-free with 4 birdies on her ultimate 10 holes. She birdied three straight on the par-5 4th, par-4 fifth and par-5 sixth.
