Males’s Swim fifth in NWC Preseason Ballot

HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Northwest Conference workplace launched its preseason coaches’ ballot for the game of males’s swimming on Monday with Pacific Lutheran University picked to complete fifth on the 2026 NWC Championships.

 

The Lutes earned 32 factors within the ballot, securing fifth total. PLU held a one-point edge on sixth ranked Lewis & Clark College (31 factors) and sits eight factors shy of fourth place Linfield University (40 factors).

Two-time defending Conference Champion Whitworth University is the prohibitive favourite with 64 factors and eight of the 9 first place votes. University of Puget Sound is second with 54 factors and the remaining first place endorsement. Whitman College is third with 50 factors.

Willamette University (26 factors), George Fox University (19 factors), and Pacific University (eight factors) spherical out the ballot, sitting seventh, eighth, and ninth, respectively.

Pacific Lutheran completed sixth total on the 2025 NWC Championships held on the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.

 

The Lutes opened the 2025-2026 season with an unscored exhibition again on Oct. 16 and start the NWC twin meet season on Saturday on the street in opposition to George Fox. The 2026 NWC Championships are set for Feb. 12-15 again on the KCAC in Federal Way.
