VanSlooten Named to Cheryl Miller Award Watch List

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State girls’s basketball senior ahead Grace VanSlooten was named to the Cheryl Miller Award Watch List. She was certainly one of 20 gamers named to the watch record that honors the highest small forwards in Division I.

She is certainly one of 4 Big Ten gamers named to the watch record, together with Maryland’s Yarden Garzon, Michigan’s Olivia Olson and UCLA’s Gabriela Jaquez. VanSlooten was additionally named to the Preseason All-Big Ten workforce earlier this month. 

In her first season with the Spartans, VanSlooten earned second-team All-Big Ten honors. She was first on the workforce in scoring, averaging 15.5 factors per sport. She scored a career-high 480 factors her junior season.  She was tied for fifteenth within the Big Ten in rebounding, averaging 7.3 rebounds per sport. In a win towards, Vanderbilt on the Acrisure Classic on Nov. 27, she scored her 1,000th profession level.

The Cheryl Miller Award, in its ninth 12 months, honors the highest small forwards in girls’s Division I girls’s school basketball. It is called after the three-time Naismith Player of the Year and Class of 1995 Hall of Famer.

MSU opens the 2025-26 season the common season internet hosting Mercyhurst on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
