CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer’s Decision Day comes on Friday, October 31, with the ultimate seven league matches of the common season.

ACC Network broadcasts the final contest of the common season, with an 8 p.m. conflict between rivals Duke and North Carolina.

Heading into Friday, 4 groups nonetheless have a shot at no less than a share of the ACC regular-season title: Stanford (16 factors), UVA (15), NC State (14) and Clemson (13). Stanford controls its future and may win the regular-season crown outright with a victory at California.

The 2025 ACC Men’s Soccer Championship begins on Wednesday, November 5, with first-round matches at campus websites. The No. 1 seed earns a first-round bye.

Noting ACC Men’s Soccer

• This is the ultimate week in convention play. Boston College is idle from ACC play and takes on Saint Joseph’s on Friday.

• Three ACC groups are ranked among the many prime six within the United Soccer Coaches Poll, highlighted by Stanford at No. 1 spot for the fourth straight week. NC State is No. 4 and Virginia is No. 6 this week. Thirteen of the 15 ACC groups have been ranked sooner or later in 2025.

• In the NCAA’s Thursday RPI report, eight ACC groups stand among the many prime 40, led by Stanford (6), Virginia (7) and NC State (9).

• ACC groups have mixed for a 72-19-24 report in non-conference play (.730 win proportion, better of any league). 

• Four ACC groups rank among the many leaders nationally in scoring offense: No. 6 Clemson (2.43), No. 9 NC State (2.4) and, No. 16 Duke (2.20) and No. 21 Stanford and Wake Forest (2.13).

• NC State’s Donavan Phillip is tied for the nationwide lead in objectives with 15. SMU’s Stephan Soghomonian is sixteenth nationally with 9 objectives.

• NC State leads the nation in scoring protection (0.2 objectives/recreation). UNC is eighth nationally (0.6) and Duke is nineteenth (0.733).

• Four ACC groups earned spots on the NCAA DI Men’s Soccer Committee’s Top 16 listing (via video games of Oct. 14): No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 Virginia, No. 10 NC State and No. 14 North Carolina.

• Nine ACC standouts had been named to the Men’s Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List: Ransford Gyan (Clemson), Kamran Acito and Kenan Hot (Duke), Logan Erb, Nikola Markovic and Donavan Phillip (NC State), Zach Bohane (Stanford), Nicholas Simmonds (Virginia) and Cooper Flax (Wake Forest).

• ACC groups have gained 20 NCAA males’s soccer championships, with 11 since 2001, together with three of the final 4 (Clemson 2021 & 2023, Syracuse 2022). Eight lively ACC applications have gained no less than one nationwide championship, essentially the most of any convention. The 15 lively ACC colleges have mixed for 20 titles.

• At least one ACC group has reached the Men’s College Cup in 22 of the final 24 seasons. Thirteen of the 15 lively ACC applications have reached the College Cup. Sixty-five ACC groups have reached the College Cup all-time.
