Big 12 Recognizes Rematch of Inaugural Conference Football Game

IRVING, Texas – As the Big 12 Conference celebrates its 30^th season of soccer, Saturday’s match-up between Kansas State and Texas Tech holds historic significance as a rematch of the inaugural Conference recreation performed on August 31, 1996.

“As the Conference recognizes its 30^th season of football, we are excited to highlight this rematch of the inaugural Conference game,” stated Chief Football and Competition Officer Scott Draper. “Saturday’s game is a special opportunity to spotlight the tradition and history of Big 12 football that are key pieces of our Conference’s identity.”
