Akron Travels to Eastern Michigan on Friday

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron swimming and diving group returns to motion on Friday, October 31, when it battles Eastern Michigan.

The Zips are coming off a first-place end on the Zips Classic, the place they completed with 1,298 factors.

For their efforts on the Zips Classic, Felicia Klintemar and Elizabeth Noble had been respectively named the Mid-American Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week, the convention workplace introduced on Tuesday, October 14.

Klintemar wasted no time making a splash, choosing up seven first-place finishes, serving to the Zips set two meet information whereas ending second and third within the season-opening Zips Classic.

Klintemar helped the Blue and Gold set meet information within the 200 and 400 MR. She swam 23.95 to assist Akron attain a time of 1:38.77 within the 200 MR whereas swimming a time of 52.38 within the 400 MR to assist the Zips end with a time of three:36.22. She took first place within the 200 IM (2:00.59), 100 Fly (53.06) and 100 Free (49.94). She helped the 800 FR group take first with a time of 1:38.77 and the 400 FR group take first with a time of three:20.47.  

Noble completed with a first-place end within the 3-meter dive (274.70) whereas ending third within the 1-meter dive (238.50).

The Eastern Michigan Eagles are coming off a tri-meet with Toledo and Illinois State. EMU defeated Illinois State whereas falling to convention foe Toledo.
