Don’t overlook – new Cumberland Go bus routes launch Monday 3 November

Cumberland residents are reminded that the primary part of the Cumberland Go bus community launches on Monday 3 November 2025, bringing improved connections and extra frequent companies throughout Cumberland.

Phase 1 of the brand new Cumberland Go routes will see further new companies working in and round Maryport and Cockermouth. Some companies have been prolonged for an additional yr in Workington, Millom, and Whitehaven, serving to extra individuals journey affordably and sustainably throughout the area.

From Monday 3 November, the next companies will start operation:

• Maryport – Dearham Town Service (#MD1)
• Cockermouth – Maryport (#68)

The following companies are being continued and upgraded with further frequencies and at new peak instances

Operated by Stagecoach:

• Maryport – Frizington (#30)
• Workington – Carlisle (#300)
• Workington – Maryport – Silloth (#60)
• Durdar – Cargo (#64) – working from 3 November to 1 December, after which further peak journeys and a hyperlink to Currock Community Centre (#71; #93; #64) can be added.
• Millom Town Service (#M1 & #7) – working from 3 November to 1 December, earlier than transitioning to Whitehaven – Ravenglass / Ravenglass – Millom – Barrow (#X7 & #7).
• Cleator Moor – West Cumberland Hospital (#22) – working from 3 November to five January 2026, earlier than being upgraded to the brand new and improved Whitehaven Town Services (#22/#22A and #1/#1A).
