Serah Williams Named to Leslie Award Watch Record

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – UConn girls’s basketball senior Serah Williams was named to the 20-player watch listing for the 2026 Lisa Leslie Award, as introduced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Friday.

The Lisa Leslie Award, now in its ninth yr, acknowledges the highest facilities in Division I girls’s school basketball. It is known as after the three-time All-American, 1994 National Player of the Year, and Class of 2015 Hall of Famer.

Williams transferred to UConn after enjoying three seasons at Wisconsin. She was a two-time All-Big Ten First Team and Big Ten All-Defensive Team choice and the 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. As a junior, Williams averaged 19.2 factors and 9.8 rebounds per recreation.

Graduate scholar Azzi Fudd is on the watch listing for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award (capturing guard) whereas redshirt senior Caroline Ducharme is on the watch listing for the Cheryl Miller Award (small ahead) and sophomore Sarah Strong is on the watch listing for the Katrina McClain Award (energy ahead).
