Divers Open on the CBU Invite

RIVERSIDE, Calif.–The University of Hawai’i males’s and girls’s diving groups competed within the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard occasions on Friday on the opening day of the CBU Invite on the Lancer Aquatics Center. The Hawai’i divers went up in opposition to divers from Denver, San Diego State and host Cal Baptist. A pair of Hawai’i freshmen led each the Rainbow Warriors and Wahine with Tristan Rodrigues and Keira Chanler each ending second. One of the highlights of the day was Chandler claimed her first silver for Hawai’i with a complete rating of 290.30 which certified her for the NCAA Zone Championships. Chandler’s rating was simply three factors behind the winner, San Diego State’s Isabella Gomez’s 293.35. The remainder of the ‘Bows completed all in a row, coming in fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh with about 20 factors separating all of them. Junior Ruby Pickron got here in with a 274.10 to complete fourth, whereas sophomore Avery Coates claimed fifth with a complete of 270.55. Sophomores Macie Wheeler and Lovisa Gusavsson completed in sixth and seventh respectively with scores of 267.20 and 255.55.

The Hawai’i divers will conclude the CBU Invite on Saturday on the Lancers Aquatic Center on the campus of Cal Baptist in Riverside, Calif..
