I’ll Never Stop Taking “Too Many”…

{A photograph} is like hitting pause on life—a strategy to maintain onto a second we wish to cherish and revisit anytime we have to.

I’ve had a digital camera in my hand for so long as I can keep in mind. First it was the little disposable ones, then the flamboyant digital cameras within the ’90s, and now it’s our cell telephones, with 47,000 pictures and occasional warnings about full storage.

And naturally, together with all these pictures come the feedback from family and friends:

“Are you seriously taking another picture?”

“You’re obsessed with photos.”

“How many do you even have on there?”

And the basic, “Just be in the moment.”

But right here’s the factor—for a few of us, taking footage isn’t only a image. It’s a part of who we’re. Those pictures inform the story of our lives…the place we’ve been, who we love, what issues most.

Honestly, footage are type of my love language. Sometimes I can’t discover the fitting phrases to say how a lot I treasure an individual or a second, however snapping that image says it for me: “This mattered. You matter. I don’t ever want to forget this.”
