Swimming Concludes Weekend With Dominants Wins Over Pacific

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Whitman College swimming groups closed their opening weekend with commanding victories over Pacific in Northwest Conference motion. The ladies’s group gained 138-48 and the lads’s group secured a dominant 167-19 victory.​

The Blues set the tone from the beginning, profitable each medley relays. The Whitman ladies’s relay group posted a time of two:00.33, whereas the lads’s relay squad completed at 1:42.65, outpacing their Boxer opponents by broad margins.​

The Blues, the truth is, didn’t lose a single race and swept podium spots in almost each occasion, underscoring their depth and preparation for the season.​

On the lads’s aspect, standout swims included Brodie Salzbrener’s dash double with wins within the 50-yard freestyle (22.40) and 100-yard backstroke (55.63), and Jay Boivin’s distance dominance within the mile (17:38.93).​

The ladies’s group noticed Siena Hayes cruise to victory within the 1650 freestyle (20:30.83), whereas Avery Riley claimed the 100 freestyle (56.73).​

Relays remained a powerful level for each squads, with the lads’s and girls’s 200 free relay groups ending first by broad margins.​

Whitman closes the autumn portion of their schedule with its residence opener on Saturday, Nov. 15 in opposition to George Fox.
