Rochester photographers seize life by their lenses

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Some photographers from the Rochester space are reminding us of what’s price . Camera Rochester is internet hosting its annual Excellence Show to share what they see behind the lens.

Dream-like, gritty, uncooked and actual, Camera Rochester, a gaggle for anybody focused on pictures, is celebrating excellent pictures with photos that seize that day. The Excellence Show options pictures from 20 Rochester space photographers.

Lisa Cook took her first {photograph} on an Instamatic digicam when she was 15. She finds the sweetness within the extraordinary, reminding the remainder of us that it was right here all alongside. 

“I am compelled to do art, and I always have been. When I am out there taking pictures, it feels like everything else is just out of my head,” Cook mentioned.

At 87, Dennis Adams has been a number of locations. He has the form of eye that may see magnificence in every single place. His summary pictures even finds magnificence within the mud on the Erie Canal. He’s lived in Rochester since 1943.

“I just love it, I love to see the beauty and the form and the ideas and to communicate with people in a non-verbal way to give visions to ideas. Mine is towards art, I grew up that way, that’s all,” Adams mentioned. “I am a third-generation artist. I grew up in an artistic family, and I tend think that way.”

Dick Bennet’s at all times taking photos. He helps run Image City Photography Gallery so photographers have a spot to point out what occurs whenever you look a bit of nearer.

“I see a lot of photographers and photography. I’ve met a lot of people and have frequent people who come back all the time. We found a pretty tight community,” mentioned Bennett.
