Another Successful Family Fun Day on the Farm!

This 12 months’s Family Fun Day was a beautiful success! More than 750 friends joined us on the farm to take pleasure in a day crammed with laughter, connection, and hands-on enjoyable. Families took half in hayrides, youngsters’ crafts, non permanent tattoos, face portray, and a scrumptious barbecue lunch.

Our Agriculture college students served selfmade squash soup—created from squash they grew themselves—and freshly baked flatbreads from our pizza oven. A particular because of Flanders Donuts, who generously offered 25 dozen donuts—they disappeared lengthy earlier than the day was over!

New actions this 12 months included horse and carriage rides and caricature artists. Staff showcased each our furry and non-furry mates, sharing about our animal rescue efforts and the therapeutic applications that help youngsters and households in our care.

We are deeply grateful for the dedication of our volunteers, together with WCS workers, college students from New London High School and East Lyme High School, and lots of neighborhood mates who got here collectively to make the day attainable.
