Ezra Billings Opens Season With NWC Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

HILLSBORO, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College males’s swimming senior Ezra Billings picked up the place he left off final season. Billings gained his fifth profession Northwest Conference Men’s Student-Athlete of the Week award on Monday. 
 
The reigning Northwest Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Year gained all 4 of his particular person races, and added a win within the 400 Free Relay, within the River Otters first two meets of the season.
 
Billings gained the 50 Free and 100 Free towards each Whitman College (Friday) and defending NWC Champions Whitworth University (Saturday). He swam the quickest time within the convention on Friday within the 50 Free (21.22) and posted the second-best mark within the 100 Free (47.39).
 
The Alaska native teamed up with seniors Michael Spicer and Zach Martin and sophomore Sam LoCurto to win the 400 Free Relay on Friday evening. The quartet posted a time of three:16.30 to beat Whitman’s prime relay staff by 5.99 seconds. 
 
On Thursday evening, Billings will likely be honored on the Oregon Sports Award. He was named the Oregon Small College Men’s Collegiate Athlete of the Year in early October. 
 

Lewis & Clark swimming will return to motion on Friday evening, once they journey to tackle the University of Puget Sound at 6 p.m.
