Meyer and Schart earn ODAC Swimmer of the Week honors

FOREST, Va. – Roanoke College’s Peyton Meyer and Halle Schart earned Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men’s and Women’s Swimmer of the Week honors, respectively, for the week of November 3.

Meyer, a junior from Stafford, Va., registered a pair of ODAC top-six occasions and contributed to a pair of relays within the Maroons displaying in a tri-meet with Catawba College and Milligan University in Kingsport, Tenn. Meyer completed fourth within the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:54.14, which slots second on the ODAC seasonal chart. He added a seventh-place end within the 200-yard freestyle in 1:48.12, which ranks sixth within the convention. In the 200-yard medley relay, Meyer was within the pool first (27.21 break up) with Nicholas Cuchna, Ryan Franceys, and Regan Euker. They positioned seventh at 1:42.43. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Meyer swam the anchor leg (23.06 break up) with Jack White, Leo Moreno, and Cuchna. They completed eighth at 1:34.15.

Schart, a senior from Mount Pleasant, S.C., posted a pair of ODAC top-three occasions in particular person occasions and contributed to a pair of relays that rank fourth within the convention following the Maroons displaying in a tri-meet with Catawba College and Milligan University in Kingsport, Tenn. Schart completed eighth within the 200-yard freestyle with an ODAC season-best time of 1:59.76. She added a sixth-place displaying within the 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.10, which slots third on the convention chart. Schart then joined teammates Julianna Morrow, Kate Pearson, and Claire Ballard in a pair of relays. In the 200-yard medley relay, Morrow, Pearson, Schart, and Ballard completed fourth in 1:52.83. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Morrow, Pearson, Ballard, and Schart posted a fourth-place time of 1:41.68.

The Maroon swimmers are again in motion on the VMI Keydet Invite Nov. 14-16 in Lexington, Va.
