Church Splashes Into Landmark Athlete of the Week Honors

SELINSGROVE, PA – The Landmark Conference introduced Emma Church has earned its Athlete of the Week honors for ladies’s swimming following her sturdy day Saturday that gave the River Hawks an exhilarating 134-127 win over Juniata that got here right down to the ultimate race. 

Church splashed her method to an enormous convention win over Juniata, successful each race that she participated in. Church’s first occasion was the 200 yard freestyle, the place she claimed a primary place end for the River Hawks, beating out Juniata’s Dani Cline by mere seconds, posting a time of two:06.94. Continuing on to the 100 yard freestyle, Church claimed yet one more first place end, displaying a quick time of 57.89, beating out any opponent by over two seconds. Entering the ultimate occasion of the competition, SU wanted a win to defeat the Eagles. Church paired up with Cameron Alvino, Payton Kenney, and Jillie Donner within the 400 yard freestyle relay. The River Hawks are again in motion on Friday, Nov. 7, because the staff heads to Messiah University. Following the Messiah meet, SU participates within the Misericordia University Cougar Splash Invite from November 21-23.
