Wayne State Swimming & Diving to Go to Northern Michigan in GLIAC Showdown

DETROIT — The Wayne State University swimming & diving squads will probably be again in motion this weekend towards convention rival Northern Michigan.  The Warriors and Wildcats will compete in a two-day twin meet starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 7, adopted by a ten a.m. begin on Saturday, November 8, on the PEIF Pool in Marquette, Mich.

The battle with NMU would be the Warriors’ first twin meet of the 2025-26 common season.  WSU beforehand competed within the swimming-only Davenport Invitational (October 10 and 11) in addition to internet hosting the Detroit DIving Classic (October 18).

Coach’s Corner

National Spotlight

About Northern Michigan

The Wildcats are coached by Heidi Voigt in her sixteenth season on the helm of the NMU swim and dive packages.  She is a five-time mixed GLIAC Coach of the Year winner, taking the lads’s honors in 2016 and 2018, the ladies’s award in 2020 and 2022, and co-honors in 2021.  Voigt’s groups have been busy to begin the 2025-26 marketing campaign, with meets already within the books on the street towards Grand Valley State, Saginaw Valley State and Findlay, in addition to a house occasion that included St. Cloud State, Davenport, and Lake Superior State.
