ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan males’s tennis group will host the ITA Sectional Championships this week (Nov. 6-9) on the Varsity Tennis Center. The event is scheduled to be performed indoors and admission is free.

Only gamers and doubles groups who’ve but to earn entry into the NCAA Championships and have made deep runs on the ITA All-American or ITA Regional Championships can be eligible for participation.

The 2025 ITA Sectional Championships may have a draw measurement of the next: singles, 32 and doubles, 16. From this, six singles gamers from every part (24) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists, two quarterfinal playoff winners). Meanwhile, three doubles groups from every part (12) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship via the Sectional Championships (champion, finalist, third place).

The Central Sectional Championships embrace groups from the Midwest, Central, and Texas areas. Schools represented on the VTC are Michigan, Ohio State, Baylor, Notre Dame, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Memphis, Illinois, Oklahoma, Tulsa, TCU, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Texas and SMU.

Representing Michigan in singles can be Bjorn Swenson. He will play doubles with Max Dahlin, who has already certified for the NCAA Singles Championship. Nicholas Steiglehner and Mert Oral will even play doubles.

Thursday, Nov. 7

10 a.m. — Singles Round of 32, adopted by Doubles Round of 16 (NB 1 p.m.)

Friday, Nov. 8

10 a.m. — Singles Round of 16, adopted by Doubles Quarterfinals

Saturday, Nov. 9

10 a.m. — Singles Quarterfinals, adopted by Doubles Semifinals

Sunday, Nov. 10

10 a.m. — Singles Quarterfinal Playoff, adopted by Doubles Semifinal Playoff
