SEATTLE – The University of Washington Athletics Department is heartbroken to share the information of the passing of girls’s soccer student-athlete Mia Hamant (Corte Madera, Calif.), following her brave battle with Stage 4 kidney most cancers.

Our ideas and prayers are along with her mother and father, Candice and Kevin, her household, teammates, coaches, associates and all who had been lucky to know her.

Mia’s legacy and spirit will perpetually stay part of the University of Washington. Her coronary heart, selflessness and resilience impressed everybody. Mia’s braveness, optimism and beauty touched the lives of your complete Husky neighborhood. She will at all times function an inspiration for everybody whose life she was capable of contact.
