Males’s Swimming Crew Hosts Villanova In Twin Meet Motion

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College swimming staff was defeated by Villanova in twin meet motion, 187-73, on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Taylor Natatorium in Providence, R.I.

A trio of Friars claimed second-place finishes of their respective occasions. Gabe Hawkins was second within the 200-meter free with a time of 1:57.12. Jack Nowak positioned second within the 100-meter backstroke (1:00.20) and Aidan Puk hit the wall second within the 200-meter butterfly with a time of two:12.31.

The Friars opened the meet with a second-place end within the 200-meter medley relay. The staff comprised of Jake Stachowicz, Erik Hoie, Nathan Thayer and Thomas Bowers completed the race in a time of 1:46.94.

The Providence College males’s and girls’s swimming and diving groups return to motion on in Kingston, R.I. on the Harold Anderson Invitational. The four-day invite is scheduled for Nov. 20 – Nov. 23.
