Michigan Swimming Sweeps Pitt, Oakland Behind Pair of Bella Sims Wins

The University of Michigan swimming and diving groups swept Pitt and Oakland on Friday, Nov. 7.

The Michigan males beat Pitt 229.5-129.5 and beat Oakland 244-111. Pitt topped Oakland 207.5-151.5.

The Wolverine girls beat Pitt 211-141 and Oakland 243-114. Pitt topped Oakland 255-109.

In the ladies’s meet, Michigan’s Bella Sims, Letitia Sim, Brady Kendall and Stephanie Balduccini received the 200 medley relay in 1:37.52 to open the meet.

Sims received the five hundred freestyle in 4:45.40 and the 200 IM (1:58.14).

Sim received the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.15. Kendall received the 50 free in 22.73, going 1-2 with Balduccini (22.88).

Michigan’s Marian Ploeger received the 1000 free (10:04.29). Leila Fack received the 100 free (50.18) and 200 free (1:49.81). Lexi Greenhawt received the 100 backstroke (53.11). Hannah Bellard received the 200 fly (1:54.42). Natalie Walklett received the 200 breast in 2:17.61.

Balduccini, Kendall, Greenhawt and Fack received the 400 free relay (3:18.94).

Kiarra Milligan received 1-meter diving with 320.00 factors and the 3-meter (339.00).

Pitt’s Claire Jansen received the 200 again (1:59.01). Sydney Gring received the 100 fly (53.46).

Emmitt Reesor received 3-meter diving with 381.20 factors. Julian Cardenas received 1-meter (322.45).
