No. 1 UConn Faces Loyola Chicago Wednesday

STORRS, Conn. – The top-ranked UConn girls’s basketball staff (2-0) hosts Loyola Chicago (1-1) on Wednesday in Gampel Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. The sport will air on truTV and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97.9).

Wednesday is UConn’s Huskies & Heroes sport to acknowledge Veterans Day.

UConn beat Florida State, 99-67, in Gampel Pavilion on Sunday. Graduate pupil Azzi Fudd had 23 factors and 5 assists and sophomore Sarah Strong had 21 factors and 9 rebounds to guide the Huskies. UConn scored 42 factors off 23 Seminole turnovers. All 12 Huskies out there vs. Florida State scored, and UConn had 37 bench factors vs. the Seminoles.

Strong was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday. Strong averaged 21.0 factors, 9.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 steals and a couple of.0 blocks per sport in two wins final week.

This is the first-ever assembly between the Huskies and Ramblers.

Loyola fell to Green Bay, 55-46, final Thursday. This season, Alex-Anne Bessette is main the Ramblers with 10.0 factors per sport. Head coach Allison Guth is in her fourth season at Loyola Chicago.

UConn is ranked No. 1 in the latest Associated Press ballot. The Huskies maintain a 485-20 (.960) document when ranked No. 1 within the AP Poll.

UConn will host Ohio State in PeoplesBank Arena on Sunday at midday. The Huskies will unveil their 2025 National Championship banner in Hartford earlier than tipoff. The sport will air on peacock and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97.9).
