Males’s Swimming and Diving Falls to Yale

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown males’s swimming and diving workforce (1-2, 1-2 Ivy) fell to Yale (1-0, 1-0 Ivy), 197-107, on Thursday evening within the Katherine Coleman Aquatics Center. The Bears collected three high finishes as Rowland Lawver (1-meter dive and 3-meter dive) and Christopher Zhang (100 freestyle) secured victories of their respective occasions. It is the second consecutive 1-meter dive victory for Lawver. 

Summary of Top-Three Finishes

• Lawver secured victories within the 1-meter (346.13) and 3-meter (363.53) diving occasions.
• Zhang secured first place within the 100 Yard Freestyle (44.50) and positioned second within the 50 freestyle (20.40).
• The 400 free relay workforce of Zhang, Jonathan Gim, Finn Quested, and Donavan Jeng positioned second (3:01.77).
• Matteo Vasiliadis positioned second within the 1-meter dive (313.58).
• James Kershaw positioned second within the 200 butterfly (1:53.01).
• Marton Nagy positioned second within the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:38.13), 200 breaststroke (2:00.67), and 200 Yard IM (1:48.17).
• Will Cicco positioned second within the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 9:30.33.
• Rory O’Connor positioned second within the 500 Yard Freestyle (4:28.72).
• Matt Williamson positioned third within the 500 Yard Freestyle (4:32.95).
• Gim positioned third within the 100 Yard Freestyle (45.80).
