Quakers Set for NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania males’s and girls’s cross nation groups journey to Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday to compete on the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships, hosted by Lehigh.

2025 Regular Season Highlights

Lara Cota completed second on the Jersey Jam on Sept. 5 recording a personal-best 4.1k time of 14:07.4. Cota ran a 6k time of 20:51.7 on the Paul Short Run. Gabby Jones adopted carefully behind at 20:51.9. Jones recording a personal-best 6k time of 20:50.3 on the Princeton Fall Classic. 

The ladies’s crew gained the season opener at Princeton scoring 32 factors. Cota took second, adopted by Jones in fourth, Izzy Rodriguez in fifth, L’Mio Edwards in ninth, and Kyra Compton in 12^th.

Penn males gained the Main Line Invitational at Haverford with 24 factors. Sahil Dodda led the crew clocking in first with a personal-best four-mile time of 19:19.6. Kofi Fordjour positioned third at 19:37.6, adopted by Shane Murphy in fourth at 19:38.7, Esfan Daya in seventh, and Vinay Raman in ninth.  

Ivy League Heptagonal Championships 

Penn ladies secured a fourth-place end on the 2025 Ivy League Cross Country Championships with 105 factors, whereas the boys’s squad earned seventh place, tallying 167 factors. 

 

Leading the Quakers, Anna Werich positioned ninth within the ladies’s 6k with a time of 21:33.0 incomes All-Ivy Second Team honors. Teammate Gabrielle Jones was shut behind in thirteenth, working 21:47.3, additionally incomes Second Team accolades.

 

Sarah Fischer crossed third for the ladies’s crew, taking twenty first at 21:55.9. Courtney Kaiser adopted in twenty ninth with a time of 22:07.5, and freshman Izzy Rodriguez closed out the scoring in thirty third at 22:16.3.

 

Kofi Fordjour led the boys’s effort within the 8k, inserting 18th with a time of 25:14.9. Nick Carpenter crossed subsequent for the Quakers, scoring thirtieth in 25:43.6, and Sahil Dodda contributed with a Thirty sixth-place end in 25:50.5.

Rounding out the scoring 5, George Keen and Liam Going took fortieth and forty third, respectively.
