Divers Wrap Up Competitors in Austin

AUSTIN – The UNT divers competed in opposition to a few of the prime applications within the nation over a three-day meet on the University of Texas and wrapped up competitors on Saturday.

Junior Sydney Guidara was the Mean Green’s prime performer, as she certified for the finals within the 1- and 3-meter springboard occasions, as she completed twelfth in each occasions. “I’m really proud of the divers for their efforts at this meet,” stated affiliate head coach/diving coach Stephanie O’Callaghan. “It’s full of great competition to help push us to our best, and it was great to get back on tower. The girls did phenomenally well for having very little prep on tower. I’m so proud of how they went after things today and dove confidently. And it was a great achievement for Sydney to final in both springboard events. She held her own and they all gained a lot of great experience that we will take into next week’s meet and postseason next semester.”

The Mean Green can be again in motion with a fast turnaround, because the divers will be a part of the swimmers on the SMU Invitational for one more three-day occasion from Nov. 20-22, in Dallas.
