Illinois Swim and Dive Provides Three in 2026 Signing Class

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Head coach Jeana Kempe introduced a category of three signees that may be a part of Illinois swim and dive for the 2026-27 marketing campaign. Swimmers Kate Farrell and Eva Paraschiv, together with diver Hanna Ekdahl, signed Big Ten Athletics Aid Agreements this week.

 

Kate Farrell

Notes: Five-time All-State honoree…Four-time All-American, Scholastic All-American… Owns IHSA state file within the 400 freestyle relay.

Why Illinois? Academic and athletic excellence have been each priorities for me, and Illinois was the proper mixture. I instantly felt welcomed by the workforce and workers, and will simply see myself calling Illinois dwelling.

Hanna Ekdahl

Notes: Two-time Senior Champion (Three-meter dive)… Nordic Junior Champion (Three-meter dive)… Member of Swedish Junior National Team.

Eva Paraschiv

Notes: Competed on the World Championships twice (2023, 2025)… Competed on the European Championships thrice (2022, 2023, 2025)… Swam on the European Youth Olympic Festival (2022)… eighth place on the 2023 European Championships.
