Raymond “Ray” Lavern Hart, 85, of Galion, handed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Avita Health System – Galion Hospital. Ray was born on April 6, 1940, in Leesville to the late Roy and Edna (Gerstanlager) Hart.

Born and raised within the Leesville space, he graduated from Leesville High School with the Class of 1958. Shortly after commencement, he proudly answered the decision to serve his nation within the United States Air Force. His time within the service formed his self-discipline, curiosity, and enduring love of know-how.

Following his army service, he pursued greater training and earned his affiliate’s diploma in digital engineering from North Central State College. His ardour for problem-solving, devices, and all issues technical remained a relentless all through his life.

Ray reconnected with Karen DeVore, and so they married on October 12, 2012.
