Spooky season sparks thrilling enjoyable at ASOD

Halloween was a day of festive enjoyable and spooky shenanigans for college students, school and employees at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. Decorating started the evening earlier than the occasion and by Friday, October 31, the atrium of ASOD had been remodeled with cobwebs, skeletons and different frightful décor.

The ASOD Halloween celebration has been an annual occasion for greater than 25 years. Sherrie Tate, division supervisor in Diagnostic Sciences and a member of the committee stated “I love working with my team on planning the party and enjoy seeing all of my co-workers dressed up and having fun. My favorite part is greeting everyone and checking out their costumes.”

This yr, there have been particular person and group costume contests, a pumpkin carving/adorning contest, epic performances and many treats. The particular person costume contest introduced out a tiny snowboarder, the tin man from the “Wizard of Oz,” and a handmaiden from the “Handmaid’s Tale,” with the snowboarder taking the highest prize. Group costumes and performances included the ensemble solid from “Wicked,” characters from “Shrek,” Santa and her reindeer, and rather more.
