From the age of 11, Abdi has instinctively used the digital camera to feed her curiosity for folks and the numerous cultures she has encountered. “I’ve always heard that I was a people person,” Abdi says, citing her household, one thing that crystallised as soon as she started exploring her function within the world African picture.

On a visit to Egypt, she grew to become obsessed together with her mom’s digital camera, adopting it as her personal.
