Eagles Open Day One of Phill Hansel Invite With Momentum

HOUSTON, Tx. – The Florida Gulf Coast University swimming and diving staff opened competitors on the Phill Hansel Invitational on Wednesday, highlighted by the staff’s victory within the 200 free relay. At the conclusion of day one, the Eagles sit in fourth, and place themselves properly heading into Thursday.

• The group of Leah Gentry-Tuney, Libby Russum, Izzy Ackley, and Mia Burke secured first within the 200 free relay with a time of 1:30.10. Their time is the fifth greatest in class historical past.
• In the B-Final of the five hundred free, Aislyn Barnett positioned first (ninth general) with a time of 4:50.63. Her time is the sixth greatest in class historical past.
• In the 200 IM, Cassie Bauer took first within the B-Final (ninth general) with a time of two:01.01. In the C-Final, Nori Hetyei took first (seventeenth general) with a time of two:01.57. She strikes into eighth place within the college’s document e book with that point.
• With a time of twenty-two.61, Russum captured third within the 50 free. In the B-Final, Ackley positioned eighth (sixteenth general) with a time of 23.38. In the C-Final, Gentry-Tuney took third (nineteenth general) and Burke took fourth (twentieth general).
• In the 400 medley relay, the group of Ackley, Bauer, Olivia Vecchio, and Gentry-Tuney completed fifth with a time of three:38.76.
• In the 1m dive, Alexandra Andueza positioned fourth. Her rating of 266.90 throughout prelims reached the benchmark for a zone qualifying rating.

The Eagles are proper again at it tomorrow, Nov. 20, for day two of the Phill Hansel Invitational in Houston, Texas. Prelims will start at 11 a.m., with finals starting at 6 p.m.
