Galloway, N.J. – If you’ve ever gone on a stroll or a hike open air, you might have seen a small container
amid the comb or a pipe that doesn’t look fairly proper. Those are doubtless geocaches.

The membership doesn’t have set days to satisfy; as a substitute, it communicates through GroupMe to debate
future gatherings and journeys. They may also discover trails and hike round New Jersey
to search out different geocaches outdoors of the college.

Previous journeys included going to the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton and to the
Queens Museum. Their subsequent journey is on Dec. 7, the place they are going to be going to the Philadelphia
Holiday Village and Wissahickon Park in Pennsylvania.

If you are within the Geocaching membership you possibly can contact them through OspreyHub, be part of
their GroupMe and comply with them on Instagram.

Geocaching is virtually treasure looking: an individual hides a container in a spot and
then logs it on geocaching.com for others to search out.

The Stockton Geocaching Club was based in 2023 by Stockton alum Forrest Jennings,
who was impressed by his love for the game. The membership is now helmed by present Environmental Studies main Dylan Budd, whose purpose is to go to new locations and create new geocaches for
folks to search out.

The membership is presently looking for new members. According to Budd, “We need folks
who love geocaching and present up constantly to journeys and occasions.” As most of the
present members are quickly to graduate, Budd hopes youthful college students will be part of and hold
the membership going for future years to return.

On Stockton’s Galloway campus alone, there are 17 hidden geocaches that college students can
discover, from ones hidden by Lakes Fred and Pam to some hidden in less-known locations like
Lake Naomi and Oak Pond.
