HOUSTON, Tx. – The Florida Gulf Coast University swimming and diving staff continued competitors on the Phill Hansel Invitational, hosted by Houston, on Thursday. After the Eagles’ 200 medley relay victory and different sturdy performances all through the night time, the Eagles sit in fifth place heading into the ultimate day of the meet.

DAY TWO RESULTS

  • The group of Izzy Ackley, Cassie Bauer, Libby Russum, and Mia Burke secured the victory within the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.47.
  • In the B-Final of the 100 fly, Nori Hetyei positioned second (tenth total) with a time of 54.90. Ackley took fifth (thirteenth total) with a time of 55.31, and Bauer completed eighth (sixteenth total) with a time of 55.66.
  • With a time of 4:21.08, Aislyn Barnett positioned seventh within the 400 IM. In the B-Final, Jordan Durocher took fourth (twelfth total) with a time of 4:22.80.
  • Libby Freeman completed eighth (sixteenth total) within the B-Final of the 200 free with a time of 1:52.26.
  • In the 100 breast, Bauer secured seventh with a time of 1:02.78. In the C-Final, Leah Gentry-Tuney positioned second (18th total) with a time of 1:02.71.
  • With a time of 53.34, Ackley captured fourth within the 100 again.
  • In the A-Final of the 3m dive, Lana Webb took fifth, and obtained a zone qualifying rating of 282.70. In the B-Final, Alexandra Andueza positioned first (ninth total) with a zone qualifying rating of 298.80.


The Eagles shut out the Phill Hansel Invitational on Friday, Nov. 21, in Houston, Texas. Prelims will start at 11 a.m., with finals starting at 5:30 p.m.
