New Hope-Lambertville Bridge Flagger-Managed Journey Restrictions Prolonged to Monday & Tuesday, Nov. 24-25 – DRJTBC

NEW HOPE, PA. – Motorists who  use the New Hope-Lambertville Toll -Supported Bridge (a.okay.a. “the free bridge”) may once more encounter periodic stoppages and journey delays throughout daytime hours early subsequent week.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission immediately introduced that further flagger-controlled alternating single-lane journey restrictions are  scheduled  for 8:30  a.m. to  3:30 p.m. Monday. Nov. 24, and Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Bridge motorists are urged to lowered speeds, observe flagger directions, and train warning when work crews are current on the bridge’s journey lanes.

The journey restrictions are wanted so a Commission contractor can set up metal panels beneath the bridge’s roadway deck. Once put in, the metal panels will function a short lived work platform for electricians changing short-circuiting electrical junction packing containers at a number of places throughout the bridge.

The contractor is trying to finish the installations of metal panels earlier than the Thanksgiving vacation weekend. If the steel-panel-installation work stays incomplete earlier than Thanksgiving, further journey restrictions is perhaps wanted for a day or two in early December.
