#8 Girls’s Swimming competes at Fall Frenzy Friday

Charlotte, N.C. —- The eighth-ranked Catawba College girls’s swimming workforce accomplished their first day of competitors on the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invite hosted by Queens University of Charlotte on Friday, standing in seventh place as a workforce after Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

PRELIMS

500-Yard Freestyle

– Fiona Byrne picked up an NCAA B-cut early on within the morning with a third-place end within the 500 Free with a mark of 4:59.04

– Gutenwik positioned sixth within the prelims of the five hundred Free with a time of 4:59.98, good for one more B-cut

– Danielle Meinema was the third Catawba Indian within the high 10 within the 500 Free prelims, grabbing a B-cut distinction with a 5:01.73 swim

50-Yard Freestyle

– Marit Reckmann simply missed out on the A closing within the 50 Free with a B-cut high quality time of 23.25

FINALS

200-Yard Freestyle Relay

– Catawba’s 200 Free relay workforce of Reckmann, Marleen Plachetka, Eszter Pajor and Eniko Onofer positioned fifth with a swim of 1:33.41

500-Yard Freestyle

– Byrne went on to complete 4 within the night finals, with an almost equivalent time of 4:58.97

– Gutenwik adopted up with an eighth-place end within the finals

– Meinema touched first within the comfort closing with a 3 second-improved 4:57.70

50-Yard Freestyle

– Reckmann completed first within the comfort closing within the 50 Free, breaking 23 seconds with a 22.99 effort within the night session

400-Yard Medley Relay

– Catawba’s workforce of Pajor, Sydney McKenzie, Sydney Peterson and Reckmann positioned seventh within the 400 Medley relay with a mark of three:45.42
