Herashchenko takes 500 Free crown for #11 Males’s Swimming at Fall Frenzy

Charlotte, N.C. — The Eleventh-ranked Catawba College males’s swimming crew noticed sophomore Nazar Herashchenko take dwelling the five hundred Free title by almost three seconds on the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invite in Charlotte on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

PRELIMS

500-Yard Freestyle

– Herashchenko cruised to a first-place end within the 500 Free within the morning prelims with a mark of 4:22.76

– Jurek Larys and Lincoln Council added top-20 placings within the 500 Free prelims with 18th and Twentieth-place finishes, respectively

50-Yard Freestyle

– Matt Howard logged a Twelfth-place end within the 50 Free prelims

200-Yard Individual Medley

– Greg Kisshauer, Cameron Watson and Jules Remy completed in a row within the 200 IM prelims

FINALS

200-Yard Freestyle Relay

– Catawba’s 200 Free relay crew of Maks Minichowski, Howard, Ryan Case and Ivo Cruz earned a fourth-place end within the 200 Free relay with a time of 1:19.65

500-Yard Freestyle

– Herashchenko adopted up his nice morning swim with a win within the 500 Free within the night finals, besting the sphere by over three seconds to the tune of a 4:22.76 effort

– Council closed out a top-20 end with a mark of 4:34.08

200-Yard Individual Medley

– Kisshauer and Remy positioned Twelfth and seventeenth, respectively within the 200 IM finals

50-Yard Freestyle

– Howard climbed to a top-10 end within the 50 Free finals with an enchancment of almost three-tenths of a second from his morning prelim with a mark of 19.86

400-Yard Medley Relay

– Catawba’s George Fykatas, Minichowski, Lassi Niemi and Howard positioned one other fourth-place end for Catawba’s relay groups, this time within the 400 Medley relay with a time of three:12.77
