The Blanden Memorial Art Museum presents “Not Home,” an exhibition by Des Moines based mostly photographer Alyss Vernon, within the second flooring gallery.

This project is an acknowledgement and exploration of the inherent joy and sorrow that comes with the passage of time and the redefining of my relationship with my parents, their home and how I fit into the current picture.”
Vernon is a recent artwork gallery director and positive artwork photographer whose work spans images, video and ebook arts. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in images and artwork historical past from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico,, in addition to a Master of Art and Master of Fine Arts in images from the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
