No. 5/3 Cards Wrap Up Competitors at Ohio State Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio. – The No. 5/3 University of Louisville males’s and ladies’s swimming and diving groups every submit a high three end after the ultimate day of motion on the Ohio State Invitational at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. The Cardinal males took second, whereas the UofL ladies positioned third.

Race-by-Race Recap

Three Cardinals competed within the ladies’s 200 IM A-final, highlighted by Kim Herkle putting third with a time of 1:57.98. Junior Summer Cardwell completed fifth (1:58.95), whereas senior Mia Cheatwood got here in sixth (1:59.03). On the lads’s aspect, senior Jackson Millard led UofL within the 200 IM A-final, claiming fourth with a time of 1:44.08. Sophomore Gregg Enoch capped it off for the Cards in eighth place (1:45.06).

 

In the ladies’s 100 free A-final, senior sprinter Julia Dennis led the best way for the Cardinals, posting a second-place time of 47.38. Sophomore sprinter Caroline Larsen wasn’t far behind, incomes third place (47.47). Freshman Julie Mishler claimed fourth (47.61) and sophomore Daria Golovaty took eighth (48.34), whereas senior sprinter Ella Welch rounded it out with ninth place (48.51). Senior Guy Brooks got here out on high for the UofL males, successful the lads’s 100 free A-final with a time of 41.87. Freshman sprinter Nikita Sheremet captured second place, posting a 42.04.

 

Cardwell was the lone Cardinal within the ladies’s 200 fly A-final, ending ninth with a time of two:00.22. Four Louisville males represented the 200 fly A-final, with Enoch notching second place with a time of 1:43.48. Tommy Bried positioned third (1:43.64), whereas junior Aidan Paro earned fourth place (1:43.79). Sophomore Thomas Powers-Hammond claimed sixth place, posting a 1:44.31.

 

Freshman Xeniya Ignatova led the UofL ladies within the 200 again A-final, ending fourth place with a time of 1:53.46, whereas sophomore Camille Murray positioned ninth (1:56.26). Sophomore Filip Kosinski took second place within the males’s 200 again A-final, posting a 1:40.65. Millard completed robust, securing ninth place (1:42.80).

 

In the ladies’s 400 free relay, the Louisville B-squad of Ignatova (49.69), Golovaty (48.64), Cardwell (49.09), and Abby Karl (49.36) took sixth place with a time of three:16.78. For the Cardinal males, the A-team of Sheremet (42.13), Brooks (41.65), Matias Santiso (42.35), and Rian Graham (42.27) completed second place, posting a 2:48.40. The B-squad of Aiden Musso (43.45), Bryan Lombardi (43.61), Charlie Crush (42.78), and Ryan Henderson (43.33) claimed eighth place with a time of two:53.17.

 

On the diving aspect, Sophomore Ray Preas secured seventh place within the males’s platform diving finals with a rating of 327.80, whereas sophomore Mack Molloy positioned 28^th (238.25). For the Cardinal ladies, sophomore Audree Brazeau-Howes completed 29^th within the ladies’s 1-meter diving finals with a rating of 229.25.
