Swimming competes at Centre Invite

DANVILLE, KY – The Lenoir-Rhyne swim groups competed this weekend on the Centre College Invite, with the lads ending sixth out of 11 groups and the ladies fifth out of 11. 

The prime finishers for the lads have been Levi McRea and Brooks Higginbotham, who each earned top-five finishes within the Men’s 500 Yard Freestyle. Lenoir-Rhyne completed fourth within the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with Renato Herran, Christopher Glebus, Cooper Sledge, and Wyatt Herger posting a time of 1:24.33.

Leading the way in which for the ladies was Ella Penny, who completed fifth within the 200-Yard IM. She joined Chloe Vestal, Sky Jones, and Addison Bartemeyer on the 400-Yard Medley Relay group that completed third with a time of three:45.87. Anna Buchert positioned eighth within the 500-Yard freestyle whereas Addison Bartemeyer completed twenty second with a time of 24.93 within the 50-Yard freestyle.

The Lenoir-Rhyne swim groups shall be again in motion at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December twelfth, after they journey to Salisbury to tackle SAC foe Catawba.
