SMCM Males’s Swimming Takes Fourth at Yellow Jacket Invitational

HAMPTON, Va. – St. Mary’s College of Maryland males’s swimming completed fourth on the eight-team Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon College on the Hampton Aquaplex Nov. 21-23. St. Mary’s College notched 423.5 factors because the Seahawks collected 10 top-10 finishes, edging Randolph-Macon by 1.5 factors for fourth place.
 

Salisbury University took house the crew title with 1502 factors whereas Washington & Lee University completed second with 817 factors. The Catholic University of America rounded out the Top 3 with 710.5 factors.
 
How It Happened
Sessions I and II (Friday, Nov. 21)

• The foursome of junior Anthony Davis (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist), first-year Brendan Mannion (West Chester, Pa./Unionville), junior Kyle Smith (Crofton, Md./Crofton), and senior captain Will Kendrick (Laurel, Md./DeMatha Catholic) positioned sixth within the 200-freestyle relay in 1:27.84.
• Mannion picked up a sixth-place end within the 200-individual medley in 1:56.01 whereas junior Daniel Madigan (Waldorf, Md./North Point) got here in Fifteenth in 1:59.90.
• Kendrick, Madigan, Davis, and sophomore Harrison Greenwald (Eldersburg, Md./Century) got here collectively for an eight-place end within the 400-medley relay in 3:35.11.
• Greenwald added an Eleventh-place end within the 500-freestyle in 4:43.74 whereas first-year Seth Geasey (Myersville, Md./Middletown) positioned nineteenth in 4:49.88.
• Kendrick tied for Eleventh within the 50-freestyle in 21.55 whereas Davis took seventeenth in 21.87.

 
Sessions III and IV (Saturday, Nov. 22)

• Greenwald earned one other sixth-place end within the 400-individual medley in 4:11.62 whereas junior Jake Williams (Port Republic, Md./Calvert) got here in Fifteenth in 5:41.40.
• Greenwald, Geasey, Madigan, and Mannion joined collectively for a sixth-place end within the 800-freestyle relay in 7:08.79.
• The quartet of Kendrick, Madigan, Smith, and Davis went seventh within the 200-medley relay in 1:36.52.
• Madigan collected an eighth-place within the 100-breaststroke in 58.16 whereas Mannion completed twelfth in 59.76.
• In the 100-butterfly, Davis got here in Thirteenth in 53.94 whereas Smith was 14th in 54.53.
• Kendrick notched a Thirteenth-place end within the 100-backstroke in 55.16 whereas first-year Harry Brooks (Centreville, Va./Westfield) completed seventeenth in 55.83.
• Geasey led the Seahawks within the 200-freestyle with a Fifteenth-place end in 1:46.68.

 
Sessions V and VI (Sunday, Nov. 23)

• The highest end of the weekend for the SMCM males got here from Greenwald within the 1650-freestyle as he positioned fourth in 16:29.89. Geasey tallied a Fifteenth-place end in 17:24.88.
• Madigan got here in fifth within the 200-breaststroke in 2:06.26 whereas junior Luca Fairbank (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) picked up a Thirteenth-place end in 2:08.33.
• Greenwald, Davis, Mannion, and Kendrick mixed for a fifth-place end within the 400-freestyle relay in 3:11.54.
• Mannion posted a ninth-place end within the 100-freestyle in 47.37 whereas Kendrick took seventeenth in 47.96.
• In the 200-backstroke, Brooks completed Thirteenth in 2:02.38 whereas first-year JB Bonner (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) notched a Fifteenth-place end in 2:03.14.
• Sophomore Stephen Lepine (Rockville, Md./GWU Online) led SMCM within the 200-butterfly with a Fifteenth-place end in 2:08.33.
