Call for Workshop Proposals: Photography as an Agent for Change 2026

Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW) is worked up to current our fifth 12 months of Photography as an Agent for Change, a workshop collection exploring pictures as a software for development in racial fairness, social justice, environmental justice, visible literacy, artistic follow, storytelling, and cross-cultural communications. PCNW seeks proposals for curriculum that additional these concepts and values. The workshops are meant to achieve a broad, various viewers and be as accessible as attainable. As such, it’s a precedence that the workshops be free and open to all and could also be held on-line or in particular person. Proposals that think about instructing past the standard classroom partitions are inspired, so assume outdoors the field!
The workshop collection will launch in Spring 2026 and embody a complete of 3-5 workshops. Workshops shall be scheduled on mutually agreeable dates and can happen between April and November of 2026. Proposals could also be submitted by people, instructing groups, organizations, and/or collectives.
Those chosen are anticipated to show and can obtain $60/hour for his or her instructing hours in addition to 5 hours of workshop prep time. PCNW shall be accountable for advertising, registration, classroom reserving, and administration duties reminiscent of scholar and school evaluations. At the conclusion of this system, all educators shall be invited to take part in a debrief session.
