NEW YORK (WABC) — A trend motion is sweeping social media, and it’s all about buying and selling sweatpants for sweaters.
It began with one viral TikTok video from Jason Gyamfi and Richard Minor from the Bronx that now has over 23 million views.
Young males throughout the nation are choosing quarter-zips and are posting about leveling up their lives on social media.
Gyamfi graduated from Allegheny College with a level in pc science and when he began interviewing for jobs, he knew it was time to improve his look.
“It makes me feel good when you look good, you do good,” Gyamfi stated.
He posted about his job-seeking apparel to his following of hundreds and out of the blue, the quarter-zip was a revolution.
And it is not simply younger males who’re ditching the Nike tech and hoodies; tweens and teenagers from throughout are becoming a member of in on the motion.

Gyamfi says the concept behind the motion is about personally elevating and motivating on the finish of the day.
“The movement is elevation at the end of the day, when you leave your house, you’re the best version of yourself, point blank, period,” Gyamfi stated.
