Former ISRO Chairman S. Somnath on Friday stated that India is on observe to emerge as a superpower by 2047, powered by advances in house know-how and manufacturing that may make the nation a world provider in key sectors.

Speaking on the inauguration of the 71st conference of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Somnath stated India at the moment is being considered with unprecedented respect worldwide.

“This is the first time India is being looked at differently across the globe, and this has been possible because we are pillars of democratic stability,” he remarked.

Emphasising that “science and spirituality can coexist”, Somnath stated that India’s non secular heritage aligns with fashionable scientific data, noting that historical sages pioneered work in arithmetic, astronomy, metallurgy, structure, and medication.

Somnath highlighted India’s demographic energy, noting that 25% of the inhabitants is younger, a development that may proceed for the following 25 years and drive nationwide progress.

He praised the federal government’s coverage push in high-technology sectors, saying that allowing non-public participation within the nuclear sector will open main alternatives for youth, as will the deal with inexperienced know-how.

Referring to India’s house milestones, Somnath stated the success of Chandrayaan-3 made India the primary nation to land close to the lunar south pole, and the Aditya-L1 mission marked the nation’s first devoted step towards exploring the Sun.
