Farmer says controversial roaming Aylsham pigs are ‘good enjoyable’

The farmer of a gang of boisterous pigs who roam free in a market city has mentioned they’re “good fun” and a “positive thing” for the group.

The escapades of the pigs, which roam by Aylsham in Norfolk, have been nicely documented. However, whereas a bunch on Facebook has greater than 500 members, not all residents are in assist.

The pigs belong to DW Filby & Sons, which is positioned off Marriott’s Way — a 26-mile footpath which runs to Norwich.

Mr Filby mentioned: “It’s all in good enjoyable and secure for the general public. People get pleasure from seeing the pigs – it is a optimistic factor for the group. It brings smiles, and it is innocent.”

He said they liked to explore but were not a threat.

“People exaggerate as a result of it is uncommon, but it surely’s not harmful. If individuals see a pig strolling round, the perfect factor to do is contact us,” he mentioned.

Aylsham Town Council has declined to touch upon the matter.
