Gavrysh Claims Second GLVC Swimmer of the Week Award

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – McKendree Men’s Swimmer Vova Gavrysh was awarded his second Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Swimmer of the Week award this previous week, the convention introduced on Wednesday. 

Gavrysh’s historic efficiency on the Mizzou Invitational earned him his second GLVC Swimmer of the Week award this season.  

At the invitational he secured the highest spot within the 200-yard freestyle and butterfly, swimming a 1:32.73 within the freestyle and 1:42.33 within the butterfly. His freestyle time now ranks because the second quickest in Division II historical past. Gavrysh additionally led off within the second-place 800-yard freestyle relay with a 1:33.20 cut up.
