The National Weather Service (NWS) Guam Weather Forecast Office issued a flash flood warning, in impact for central and southern Guam.
Up to 1.5 inches of rain has already fallen. Additional rainfall quantities of two to three inches are attainable for the world. Flash flooding is ongoing or anticipated to start shortly.
The neighborhood is suggested to take the next precautionary actions:.
- If driving, be alert for low visibilities in heavy rain;
- Slow down the place water is ponding on the street;
- Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Avoid strolling or driving by flood waters. Just 6 inches of transferring water can knock you down, and a pair of toes of water can sweep your car away;
- Do not camp, park, or hike alongside streams and rivers. These areas can flood rapidly and with little warning.
The Office of Homeland Security and the Office of Civil Defense (OHS-OCD) remind the neighborhood to follow warning whereas touring in heavy rain, driving beneath the pace restrict and permitting sufficient braking distance between autos.
