PennDOT pronounces street restrictions forward of winter climate, vacation journey

PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has introduced street restrictions forward of winter climate anticipated Friday, Dec. 26.

There might be two units of restrictions, one deliberate for 10 a.m. Friday, with the opposite set deliberate for two p.m.

The following restrictions might be put into place at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 26:

• Interstate 81, south of I-83.
• ALL Pennsylvania interstates west of I-81, together with:

The following restrictions might be put into place at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 26:

• I-81, north of I-83.
• Route 33, total size.

• ALL Pennsylvania interstates east of I-81, together with:
  • PA Turnpike I-76
  • All Eastern PA Turnpike extensions

Both units of restrictions are Tier 3, that means that no business automobiles are permitted besides loaded single trailers with chains or different accepted alternate traction units. Additionally, all college buses, business buses, motor coaches, bikes, RVs/motorhomes and passenger automobiles towing trailers will not be permitted on the roadways.
