Love Cape Cod gentle? Janis Ekman’s ‘My Wellfleet’ opens Jan. 4

Photography by Janis Ekman shall be on show Jan. 4 to 30 on the Wellfleet Adult Community Center’s Duck Pond Gallery, 715 Old Kings Highway, Wellfleet. An opening reception will happen from 3 to five p.m. Jan. 4.

The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, in line with a neighborhood announcement.

Ekman’s exhibition, “My Wellfleet,” incorporates images from 2003 to the current.

Ekman began taking images at age 8, utilizing a Kodak Brownie Instamatic. Her first topics included her sister and the household canine, Dixie. Every week later she acquired a fats envelope with 2×2 black and white photographs, which sparked her lifelong ardour for images, in line with the announcement.
