Dressed as a zombie astronaut, Zayne Sievert of New Ulm pets a water buffalo on the Halloween Hop petting zoo on Minnesota Street on Oct. 27. The Halloween Hop featured many downtown methods and treats for youths forward of Halloween.

Mike’s Painting hooks huge venture
On Jan. 7, Mounds View, Minnesota’s well-known 30-foot mermaid statue, readied for restoration work at Mike’s Painting in New Ulm. Painter Tim Koehler mentioned the purpose was to revive the statue to its look within the Seventies. The venture was accomplished in May.
