Tuscarawas County library launches Storytime collection

NEW PHILADELPHIA − Tuscarawas County Public Library will host a 10-week Storytime collection beginning Jan. 19 throughout 5 branches, providing songs, tales and interactive enjoyable for teenagers 5 and youthful, in response to a neighborhood announcement.

Storytimes will kick off the week of Jan. 19 on the 5 areas of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System, together with the principle library in New Philadelphia and branches in Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek and Tuscarawas.

Mary Smrek, the library’s kids’s providers supervisor, mentioned Storytimes profit each kids and their caregivers.

“Parents and caregivers have the opportunity to see reading to children modeled in a way that promotes early literacy skills,” Smrek mentioned within the announcement. “Little ones have the opportunity to engage in talking, singing and playing – practices that encourage their overall growth and pre-reading development.”

• Toddler Time Storytimes (ages 2-3 years): Designed to have interaction toddlers with motion, tales, songs and devices. Sessions are set for 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Wednesdays on the Main Library.
• Preschool Storytimes (ages 3-5 years): Designed for preschoolers with enjoyable and interactive actions. Sessions are set for 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Mondays on the Main Library.
• Evening Family Storytimes (ages birth-5 years): An night Storytime for all ages with songs, tales and interactive enjoyable. Sessions are set for six p.m. choose Thursdays (Jan. 22, Mar. 12 and Apr. 9) on the Tusky Branch.
• Saturday Toddler/Pre-Ok Storytimes (ages 2-5 years): A Saturday Storytime designed to have interaction toddlers and preschoolers with books, motion and music. Sessions are set for 11 a.m. choose Saturdays (Jan. 24, Feb. 7 and Mar. 14) on the Main Library.
